After ski holidays come long weekends. It was always like this. But since the corona epidemic is over, Mr. and Mrs. Schweizer have a lot of work to do. It begins with the Easter long weekend (March 29 – April 1), followed by Ascension Day (May 9 – 12) and Pentecost (May 17 – 19).

Travel agencies are already celebrating the high demand for holidays. Travel company Kuoni reported to Blick “significantly higher booking volume” compared to the previous year. Hotelplan also says: “We are already feeling a huge demand for excursions in the coming holidays.”

Of course, you don’t need to go far on holidays. Hotelplan refers to Ticino and Europa Park in Rust (Germany); both Easter etc. popular travel destinations and emissions remain low. Railtour spokesman Markus Flick also states that panoramic trains such as Glacier Express or Golden Pass Express are also in high demand.
