It is quite possible that this apartment advertisement on the Newhome portal will be removed from the internet again in the near future. A four-room apartment is available for rent at the legendary Würenlos AG motorway service station Fressbalken, located on the A1 between Zurich and Bern. “Immediately or by agreement,” the ad reads. The rental flat is well developed and has high quality parquet floors and a large fitted kitchen.
Monthly rent: 1550 francs. “Without additional costs, namely the cold, the apartment costs only 1,400 francs,” writes “Argovia Today”. For comparison: the monthly cost of a 4-room apartment in Würenlos is on average 2,100 francs. Blick reports that the penthouse apartment was renovated in 2019 and offers a unique view of six motorway lanes and the Limmat flowing in light fog.
Don’t worry about shopping options
Potential tenants will find plenty of parking spaces. According to the advertisement, parking spaces can be rented. There is no balcony but there is a nice outdoor seating area. You don’t have to worry about shopping. Fressbalken includes, among other things, a shoe store, a Coop, Läderach and Nestlé store as well as an erotic store.
80 million people pass under the shopping bridge every year, and more than two million take a break. This makes Fressbalken the most visited motorway rest stop in Switzerland and possibly in all of Europe.
The service station caused a sensation when it opened in 1972: the largest restaurant bridge over a motorway in all of Europe, attracting curious people from near and far. The icon of Swiss mobility can be seen as a model at Swissminiatur in Melide TI. (uro/kob)
