EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse President Luc Gaillet and Deputy Chairman Raymond Cron give information about expansion plans.

8.1 million passengers would represent an 11 percent decrease compared to the record year of 2019. As airport director Matthias Suhr said, there was a 15 percent increase compared to the previous year. 8.4 million passengers are expected for this year.

EuroAirport has not yet met its target of reducing aircraft noise at night. Despite a ban on planned departures from 23:00, the noise situation worsened by 23:15. The airport hopes to address this by significantly increasing noise charges for departures after 22:00.

Finally, the airport management gave information about expansion plans to improve the terminal infrastructure. The focal point is the new building on the east side of the airport.
