US automaker Tesla sold 11 percent more electric vehicles compared to the same period last year, billionaire Elon Musk’s company announced on Tuesday.

China’s BYD sold more than 400,000 plug-in hybrids in the fourth quarter, in addition to pure electric cars. For the entire year, the Chinese company sold more than three million cars, 1.6 million of which were fully electric. In this category and throughout the year, Tesla was still ahead with 1.8 million in 2023. (SDA)
