In mid-November 2023, fans of the cult animated series “Looney Tunes” received truly shocking news: a $70 million comedy adventure about the hapless Wile E. Coyote entitled “Coyote Vs. ACME” was released by Warner Bros. almost completed as the studio was canceled. may have had little chance of success for the film, either in theaters or in the streaming market – even if the ratings after test screenings in no way confirmed this assumption.
A few days later, there was finally a glimmer of hope that Warner Bros. would not completely cancel the film and thus apparently not adopt the tax strategy of getting back a significant portion of the production costs if the film were never released. saw the light of day (as it already happened with “Batgirl” and “Scooby 2”). Instead, “Coyote vs. ACME” should do that offered for sale to other lenders. And it is now increasingly likely that a deal has already been struck.
Because while there is still no official confirmation of a new rental company, according to the voice actor Erik Bauzawho lends his voice to Wile E. Coyote in the English original a first photo from the film with the signature: “See you in 2024! #CoyoteVsACME”

This strongly suggests that we are seeing “Coyote Vs. ACME” this year, either on the big screen or via streaming on one of the many platforms we know. The photo also shows us the animated titular hero surrounded by real people, as in other “Looney Tunes” movie spinoffs, such as “Space Jam” and “Space Jam 2.”
In the film, Wile E. Coyote sues the company ACME, which sold the unfortunate man a series of defective products that ultimately prevented him from catching the speedy Road Runner. In this first photo we also see the courtroom, in which… Will Forte as the coyote’s advocate.
The idea for the film came from, among others, ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ director James Gunn, with Dave Green (‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’) in the director’s chair. In addition to Forte, the comedy adventure also stars DC anti-hero John Cena as boss of the evil company ACME and Netflix star Lana Condor.
