Yang Xu becomes Straumann’s new CFO.

His predecessor, Peter Hackel, had already announced that he would leave in August 2022. Since the beginning of January, Marc-Alain Weder has been interim head of finance. As Straumann announced on Monday, he must make the transition to Xu and then quit his job at the company.

Xu joins Straumann from food giant Kraft. There he was most recently Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Development and Global Treasurer and also a member of the company’s Executive Committee. He brings more than 20 years of experience in finance.

He started his career at General Electric Healthcare and spent more than a decade at Whirlpool Corporation. He has worked in various countries in Europe, North America and Asia.

Xu was born in China in 1979 and holds a French nationality. He holds a Master’s degree in Management from the prestigious HEC Paris. He also attended MBA programs at London Business School and Standfort.
