In CS it doesn’t end with departures.

One in ten people at Credit Suisse has already resigned. Now derivatives specialist Leonteq is also taking advantage of this and is hiring a new chief financial officer at Credit Suisse. CS Swiss Bank Finance Director Antoine Boublil (48) will move to Leonteq in the same position on January 1, 2024.

Leonteq announced on Wednesday that Boublil has – as previously announced – replaced Marco Amato (42), who will step down at the end of August 2023. Hans Widler, Head of Financial Management since 2015, will be appointed interim CFO on September 1, 2023 for the transitional period.

Antoine Boublil, CFO of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. since 2016 and also on the Board of Directors of Bank Now, a subsidiary of CS, and Swisscard, a credit card company owned by CS and American Express. He is the head. Prior to joining CS, French was CFO at Cembra Money Bank, where he was responsible for the IPO.

Still there at the time of the takeover

CS said on Wednesday that Boublil will resume his current role in the weeks and months to come, following its acquisition by UBS.

The urgent takeover of CS by UBS was only officially completed on Monday. What will happen to CS’ important Swiss business is still unclear. Among other things, there is speculation that the lucrative local business could split and not be completely absorbed by UBS. (SDA/kae)
