Absolutely bad taste: no fashionable girl will wear such outerwear for spring

We are already looking forward to spring shopping – if you want to finally add some color to your wardrobe, wear light trench coats and heeled boots that won’t turn into skates on an icy puddle. But before you empty your wallet in your favorite stores, you should go through a little briefing. Or rather, even get a stop list with clothes that should not complement your wardrobe in any case.

In general, “cropped” styles tend to pop up quickly and fade out of trends just as quickly. Therefore, mini-trenches and coats that were popular 10 years ago are considered illiquid today. How to calculate them? Pay attention to the short sleeves of the coat and the seemingly deliberately cut edge of the coat: it seems to be made according to “long” patterns, and then suddenly breaks.

Fur trim is also not featured in the season’s hot trends. And this despite the fact that floor-length fur coats have just returned to the catwalks and wardrobes of fashionable girls – although, of course, not without criticism. But if in winter such pictures are at least justified by the temperature, but in spring they look out of place. So for jackets with fur collars, fur vests, coats with fur trim and other fur details on demi-season outerwear, we say a firm “You can’t pass!”.

We return to the topic of abbreviated clothing. Yes, short jackets and sweaters are in fashion – but only if the sleeves are long enough and the volume of the fabric itself is sufficient. If the jacket is already “flat”, then it simply cannot be short. The fashion rule for the coming seasons is simple: either the clothes are voluminous and shortened, or elongated. In the era of oversize, skinny jackets simply won’t survive!

We won’t argue, the zipper is comfortable. At the same time, it is also dangerous: such elements taken from sportswear do not suit sophisticated dresses, ankle boots and high-heeled boots. What’s more, a classic coat equipped with a zipper definitely does not fit in with modern trends!

As a rule, these are shortened coats with loops characteristic of a duffle coat or two rows of buttons for “pea coats”. They’ve been out of fashion for a long time, so if you’re missing out on such greetings from past shopping sprees in your closet, you should get rid of them as soon as possible. It is difficult to combine them with a basic wardrobe, and cropped styles (see the first point) make the torso shorter and the image messy. So we say goodbye to them without regret – and look forward to the new season!
