Good skin is a perfect wardrobe investment. Judge for yourself: this material always looks spectacular and stylish, images with it are relevant at any age. In addition, the skin perfectly conveys a rebellious mood when you want to feel like a rock star, but at the same time not look vulgar. Skin is sexy, bold, stylish, timeless – in other words, everyone needs it.
The lifespan of clothes made of this material is simply endless, if you know how to take care of it – otherwise all the shine will be lost and the investment will be wasted. Of course, you don’t want to find your favorite little thing that costs a lot of money spoiled due to improper storage or care. So at the beginning of your life together with leather clothes and shoes, you should establish a series of rules that will prolong the life of your favorite jackets, shoes and bags.
So less words – more action!
How to store?
Imagine, you pull out of the closet the leather jacket that you bought with so much love, only to find creases and mold stains on it. Just terrible! To save outerwear (this rule applies to both dresses and jackets) from such a cruel fate, be sure to hang them on wide hangers to allow air to circulate freely. On top, it is better to put a cover made of natural fabric – plastic can cause harmful fungi, usually gray.
Store the shoes in a separate box and the bag in its own case. A wet area is strictly prohibited, otherwise the ugly mold will quickly look at the light. It is better to allocate a separate shelf in the closet for whimsical leather things. And if you have already found mold on your clothes, then it is better not to experiment here, but take it to the dry cleaners. And in the future, of course, follow all storage rules.

What is the best cleaning method?
Dried dirt or white deposits can be removed with a damp cloth or special skin cleaning products – nothing complicated. But what if you suddenly found a stain that cannot be washed? Never use thinner, paint remover or alcohol. Then the favorite thing will definitely not be saved. It is much more rational to take it to a proven dry cleaner.
How to dry?
Products made of natural or artificial leather should not be dried on heating devices. Because of this, creases may appear that can no longer be repaired. Zip or buttons, if it is outerwear, should be fastened and hung on a hanger (don’t forget broad shoulders) right in the room. Pants should be dried on a special hanger under the same conditions.

Skin contraindications
Do not wash your leather clothes in the washing machine no matter what! She certainly won’t last (as well as your nerves). Here it is better to proceed as written in the second paragraph. And in general, you should not try to wash off the dirt aggressively, the skin requires gentle and light movements. Strong water can also be harmful if your clothes or shoes have the ability to absorb liquid – you need to check this with a consultant in the store or check the label in advance.
What does the skin need?
Genuine leather needs regular attention (as do all of us in general, but that’s another story). This noble material tends to dry out and lose its original shine, so it should be regularly treated with special moisturizers. The same applies to eco-leather, although it is less sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity.
And if you buy a miracle cream with coloring pigment, you can hide even minor scratches and abrasions. Then the lifespan of your favorite leather item will be long and of high quality – and your appearance will be stylish and elegant.
