Have you ever wondered where that red swimsuit worn by Pamela Anderson in Baywatch became one of the most iconic pieces in pop culture?
The answer is: it is now on display at the BikiniArt Museum in Bad Rappenau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The museum purchased the legendary swimsuit for $27,500 at an auction by the American Heritage auction house in Dallas. In total, more than 900 rarities from more than 100 Hollywood films and television programs were sold there.
So items from Star Trek, Batman, Hitchcock movies and the TV series Dallas became a pile. More than 40 buyers bid on the Baywatch swimsuit worn by actress Pamela Anderson in the cult NBC series from 1989 to 2001.
A “friend” is already waiting for the swimsuit in the exhibition – the German museum previously acquired the original swimsuit of David Hasselhoff, who was also the star of “Baywatch”.
