There are many ways to open the bottle.

Want to end the evening comfortably with a glass of wine at a picnic or at home, but don’t have a corkscrew? It’s okay, because there are other ways to open the bottle.

one

screw

This is probably one of the safest methods: Take a screw (preferably a long one) and use a screwdriver to push it into the faucet until it protrudes about an inch or two from the spigot. Then take a pair of pliers and remove the cork.

2

nails

The fungus can be carefully removed with the help of a few nails. They are tapped into the tenon at an angle, either by hand or with a hammer. Make sure that the nails are well distributed and facing each other, for example, in the form of a triangle. With pliers you can then remove the nails along with the cork.

3

hanger

This method is relatively easy, but you will have to say goodbye to one of your hangers because once the clothespin is used as a puller, you will no longer be able to use it to hang clothes. First, bend the metal end of the hanger back about 30 degrees so it looks like a fish hook. Slide this hook onto the wine bottle near the spigot, then rotate the wire 90 degrees so the hook is under the cork. Then pull the wire up and voila: the cork comes loose.

4

Key

A strong wrench that doesn’t bend easily works best for this method. It is pressed diagonally to the pin. Now if you turn the bottle, the spigot can be removed.

5

lighter

Hot air expands when heated. With this we want to remove the spout from the bottle. Using a lighter, heat the mouth of the bottle under the tap. The hot air is now pushing it out of the bottle. attention! Make sure the bottle is not cold – otherwise it may burst due to rapid temperature change.

6

pump

Get a bicycle pump with a pump needle that is as thin and pointed as possible and thread it through the cork. Air will then be pumped into the bottle and the plug will move slowly from the bottle due to the air pressure.

7

hit the wall

If your resources are very limited, this method may be an option. Wrap the bottom of the wine bottle with a thick towel (or two, just to be safe) and bang it against the wall repeatedly. Obviously the bottle can break in the process so consider this as a last resort. You won’t be able to get the cone out of the bottle on the first hit, so use your strength in moderation and tap the bottle lightly and gently against the wall a few times – the cone will slowly come out of the bottle the same way.

8.

going out with shoes

This is a very similar method to the one above, but much less risky. Wrap the bottom of the wine bottle in a towel again, but instead of hitting the wall, sit on the floor, grab the bottle between your legs and hit the wrapped part with a shoe. This may take longer.

9

push

This method is very simple – but like many simple things it also has its downsides. Take a wooden spoon (or similar object) and push the spout into the wine bottle. Of course, it’s almost impossible to get the stopper out of the bottle afterwards, and an old wine bottle’s stopper can crumble – but that’s okay: just use a strainer and pour the wine bottle through it into a decanter.
