Disney + does it like Netflix: all episodes of the new MCU series coming at once + “Loki” start date announced

No dry eyes are currently hanging in cinemas around the world, because with “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” we say goodbye to one of the most popular cinema series that the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU for short, has to offer. But the universe is known for being big and that’s why you don’t have to worry about superhero supplies. At the Upfronts 2023, probably the industry event for American series, Disney and MCU boss Kevin Feige are currently presenting the start dates of various productions and especially in the series area we can expect a lot this year…

This is how the second season of “Loki” on October 6, 2023 and the “Hawk eye“spin-off series”echoruns from November 29, 2023 – both on Disney+, of course. While “Loki” will air weekly, all “Echo” episodes will be immediately available to stream starting November 29 – something never seen before in the MCU.

So we have to wait until autumn for these two series. But “Secret Invasion” is now slowly coming within reach. As Nick Fury, Samuel L. Jackson will save the world from shape-shifting aliens, the Skrulls, in the MCU series starting June 21, 2023.

Two other productions were actually announced for this year: “Ironheart” about the young Iron Man follow-up to “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and the “Wanda Vision” spin-off “Agatha: Coven of Chaos”. The two series should now only appear in 2024.

That’s how it goes with Kang in the second season of “Loki”.

Exactly how ‘Loki’ would continue was not entirely clear in recent months. The series has been out for a long time, but there has always been speculation about its publication. Actor Jonathan Mayors, who also plays villain Kang in “Loki,” is likely to pose a problem for Disney. Majors is facing charges of violence and abuse and the case is ongoing. Kevin Feige, personally announcing upcoming series at the Disney Upfronts on May 16, 2023, didn’t mention majors. However, it is very, very likely that the actor will star as Kang in the second season of Loki.

If you’re interested in the MCU and don’t want to wait for the new series and sequels, you should check out Disney+. Starting today, “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, which hit theaters in February. By the way, the villain Kang also plays an important role in it.
