“I look forward to the hands-on lessons,” Sieber told the media. According to the doctor, basic education in the first month consisted mainly of biology and physics lessons, as well as sports training.

Those responsible announced that the basic training of future astronauts takes a total of 12 months. Astronauts are then assigned to their missions. After assignment, task-specific training begins, which is tailored to specific task tasks and includes hands-on exercises with appropriate technologies.

After that, Sieber will begin his space mission. It follows in the footsteps of Claude Nicollier, the only Swiss astronaut to date.
