As off-roaders, love these Jeep concepts. Like.

It’s now a tradition: Jeep invites you to its Easter weekend Easter Jeep safari in Moab, Utah.

The location has been chosen with care: Moab – where it is in the Arches National Park that badass Red stone– Rock formations and southwest of it, in Canyonlands National Park, incredible plateaus carved by the Green and the Colorado River. There are also Aboriginal petroglyphs to be found. And even dinosaur tracks. In other words: the ultimate holiday destination for people who indulge in the so-called outdoor lifestyle.

And such people certainly don’t drive into the wilderness in a Toyota Camry. Oh no. You want a 4×4. And not a Zurichberg bling SUV crossover, but a real off-roader. Sure, depending on whether Mr. and Mrs. Outdoor are more specifically into hiking or overland, mountaineering, or camping, the vehicle may have different characteristics, but they are true all-terrain vehicles nonetheless.

And here the original 4×4 brand Jeep intervenes and presents its Easter Safari Concept studies that make the heart of every outdoor fan beat faster.

This year…well, this year Jeep is laying it thick. A total of seven pieces (!) were presented. They are all a little different. And all incredibly cool. Began with:

The restomod of the current concept series: Here you have combined the body of a 1978 Cherokee with the frame of a 2022 Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. From the orange and red stripes to the retro five-spoke wheels – the result is impressive.

This is the third all-electric Wrangler-based concept car that Jeep has built, and it’s a real stunner: it puts out 650 horsepower and 1220 Nm of torque. The Magneto’s hot-rod look comes from a number of subtle body changes: the door opening is tilted back 6 inches compared to stock, the windshield is also tilted back, and the front fenders are also pulled back. And, oh yes, these are 40-inch tires that can conquer any desert terrain, no matter how bad.

This is the modern take on the 1981 CJ-8 Scrambler: similar to the Magneto concept shown above, except this vehicle is equipped with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine. As with the Magneto, the bodywork has been extensively modified and the car is equipped with a cargo area that opens to the rear and – most importantly! – Plaid seat covers, people! Seat covers checked!

Ah, maybe you actually want doors that can be closed? Oh, you want a land vehicle like that? #Vanlife and stuff? Then this Grand Wagoneer might be something for you! It has a RedTail Overland carbon roof tent that is light enough to open with one hand. Inside the car, the second and third row seats have been removed to create an enclosed passageway between the interior and the tent. The former cargo hold is furnished as a millennial living room, with bean bags and mood lighting. And potted plants.

Yes. It’s purple. No sorry: magenta! After all, real off-roaders aren’t afraid of bold announcements, are they? You also remain clearly visible if you get lost in the wilderness.

Here’s a concept car that actually looks feasible: departure was clearly built to showcase a range of products from the Jeep Performance Parts catalog, such as the flip-up grille guard. Or a high clearanceSpare tire mounts, tubular frame doors, sky-high fender flares and a premium light bar above the windshield.

whiskers? Yes, Jeep calls it that because of the black-anodized steps behind the doors, meant to evoke the facial hair fashion of the ’70s. This Gladiator has a JPP lift kit, 37-inch tires, the same folding grille guard bar as the Departure (which, according to Jeep, doubles as a seat when folded), a winch, an array of auxiliary lights, and custom storage solutions for the loading area.

Yes, all of the vehicles shown above are concept cars, which of course means that no major manufacturer would ever mass-produce them. Shame. But the order of one concept cars is fully fulfilled: namely to show what could be possible with technology, imagination and style.
Now all you need is a desert within a reasonable driving distance…
