‘El Chombo’ Sues ‘Flying Cat’

Polemics! Producer Rodney Clark, artistically known as “El Chombo”, has an open legal process for crimes against intellectual property and has reportedly not yet been notified.

“(…) I have Mr. Rodney Clark, ‘El Chombo’, a complaint, a complaint and there is a lawsuit in the specialized prosecution against crimes against intellectual property,” explained Carlos Córdoba in TikTok when the user consulted him about the process.

According to Córdoba, known as “jug” or “Flying Cat”“the process is still in search mode”, since “El Chombo” has not yet been notified.

The process is related to the song “El gato volador” and video clip Córdoba described what happened:

“Many people cannot imagine what happened. The poem has five processes: composer, the one who writes it, the one who performs it, the one who does the arrangements and the executive producer. This person is sometimes called a music producer and this person produces music, makes bases or executable forms. when you go to to mark great, it is clear to them that the composer, author and interpreter have roles that they must perform business with them, and not that you were going to sell them a car, so you sold it stolen and without papers. This is something very serious, I will explain later how it was”.

When Cordoba left Panamaafter making the hits “La batería”, “El octopo” among others, he was hired by a Jamaican company that took him to Jamaica for the year. “My manager from Panama was always in touch with them there in Jamaica and they advised him not to neglect me and to put into practice everything he learned in Jamaica about music law etc. When I came back Tales from the Crypt was coming on #3 and my manager and I decided to submit the song. I did it, at that time it was done in the Ministry of Education, in 1998. From there I went there (Jamaica) and that’s where the problem arose that they took the song, they did what they did and they didn’t respond. me. not at all. They assumed that they were the owners, they did business and everything with the song, I was not considered at all when signing,” Córdoba continued.

Córdoba repeated it at the international level “Chombo” he profited from the song, so he invited the producer to counter-sue him if he thought he was lying.

While “Flying Cat” supported the reasons for his request, he showed some documents they support each other while recording the song.

(…) As I said to everyone who talks to me: if you say I’m lying, I directly tell you to sue me and to clear your name if that’s not the case, he said.

At the time of this publication, “El Chombo” has not been mentioned demand Presented by Cordoba.
