Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) does everything he can to keep his family together in the “Fast & Furious” series – but the crew has already lost a very special member, and not only in the film but unfortunately in real life . Paul Walker played Toretto’s best friend, Brian O’Conner. When Walker was killed in a car accident in 2013, the film series said goodbye to the character and brought her back one more time via CGI and with Paul Walker’s brothers as his doppelgängers, then on to a happy future.
Similarly, Brian O’Conner could actually reappear in the action series – most likely in the grand finale, Fast & Furious 11. Because Vin Diesel explained it : “I’ll say that without spoiling anything: I couldn’t imagine ending the saga without actually saying goodbye to Brian O’Conner.”

A reunion of Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner could well be the emotional highlight of the final installment of the “Fast & Furious” saga. Diesel stressed that it was a brave and right decision by the studio to let the character Brian O’Conner live after his actor’s tragic death in 2013. And Paul Walker’s family have already said they are open to the possibility to digitally bring back Walker’s iconic character.
Flashbacks with Brian in “Fast & Furious 10”
There will even be a reunion with Brian O’Conner in “Fast & Furious 10”! But not with a CGI creation that shows O’Conner ten years older in the presence of the movie action, but with the help of archive footage and possibly double. Because “Fast X” director Louis Leterrier already confirmed that O’Conner will appear, but in flashbacks: “You will see Brian in the past, you will not see him in the present.”
But Brian, Dom and the whole crew were able to see each other again in “Fast & Furious 11”. And it’s not just Vin Diesel who can’t imagine ending the series without a fitting farewell from Brian O’Conner — many “Fast & Furious” fans will probably feel the same way.
Fast & Furious 10 launches on May 18, 2023. In addition to Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Brie Larson, Nathalie Emmanuel and many more will also be present this time. “Fast & Furious 11” does not currently have a theatrical release date.
