No April 1 joke: After almost 15 (!) years, Lego sets from Indiana Jones are finally available again

18 Indiana Jones series sets were released by Lego in 2008 and 2009 before the model series was dropped. Now the popular series is celebrating its comeback. Almost three months before the start of “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny,” Lego has three new kits.

Lego 77015: Temple of the Golden Idol

With 1545 pieces, the “Temple of the Golden Idol” set is the most comprehensive kit in the entire Lego “Indiana Jones” universe and costs 149.99 euros. With the Legendary Temple from Raiders of the Lost Ark you can recreate iconic scenes from the first film, including of course the dramatic escape from the giant boulder.

Four minifigures are included in the 18+ set. In addition to Indiana Jones, you get Satipo, Belloq, and a Hovitos warrior. The kit also includes some interesting features such as the rolling boulder and the glowing statue. The set is intended as a diorama for your shelf and with a width of 51 centimeters and a height of 23 centimeters, it takes up quite a bit of space.

Lego 77013 Tomb Escape

Also from Raiders of the Lost Ark comes the Tomb Escape set, which includes four minifigures: Indy, Marion Ravenwood, Sallah and a mummy. At the beginning, the kit costs 39.99 euros.

This set is teeming with snakes. Again you get some nice features like the Anubis statue that topples over when you pull the lever and crashes through a wall. The kit consists of exactly 600 parts.

Lego 77012 Fighter Plane Escape

Could it be that Indy and Co. often have to flee from somewhere? At least that’s the impression the new Lego sets give. “Escape from the fighter plane” is no exception. The scene is from the third movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

When released, the set will cost 34.99 euros and consists of 387 parts. Here too, Indy is back as a minifigure. The kit also includes Professor Henry Jones Sr. and a pilot.

By the way, more sets from the “Indiana Jones” universe are planned. However, the information is scarce. Fans can look forward to new kits at the latest at the release of the new cinema film.
