Magical duo Siegfried and Roy lived happily in Las Vegas with their lions and tigers for decades. The two called their forest palace their home. This is exactly what you can buy now according to the “Shelter Realty” broker website. The famous estate of the German “magicians of the century” is sold for three million dollars.
Siegfried Fischbacher (1939-2021) and Roy Horn (1944-2020) bought the main house in 1982, which was built in 1954 in Moroccan style. In the following years, three guesthouses, two self-contained studio apartments, three swimming pools, four indoor jacuzzis, a huge aviary and cages for big cats were added. Tigers and lions sometimes slept in Horn’s bed or splashed in the pool with Fischbacher.
Siegfried Fischbacher no longer lived here after Roy Horn’s death.
Visitors must pass through an electric entrance gate decorated with the gold letters ‘SR’, the duo’s initials. Bad news for potential pet-loving buyers: the villa lacks amenities or tigers.
The property became vacant after the death of Roy Horn, who died three years ago from a corona disease. Siegfried Fischbacher chose to spend the last months of his life in his own “Little Bavaria” villa, just a few minutes’ drive away. (cth/bsn)
