Damn it? That’s how long “John Wick 4” will be – and that’s why fans of the action series with Keanu Reeves will celebrate this week

It was once about a former assassin who just wanted revenge because his dog was killed. But soon a great mythology arose around John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves – a world where a secret organization of assassins controls everything… a member of this secret society. Not only more and more action, but also more and more world-building had to be included in the film.

While “John Wick” was a whopping 101 minutes long, the sequels were already over two hours long. But the 122 and 131 minutes of “John Wick 2” and “John Wick 3” easily surpass the fourth adventure:

John Wick 4‘ should be a whopping 169 minutes. For comparison. That’s exactly as long as the theatrical premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (and longer than the theatrical release of the Peter Jackson sequels). By the way, “Interstellar” by Christopher Nolan also lasts 2 hours and 49 minutes.
