The Mexican city of Cancún is located at the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula. Fly: If you’re not in Cancún to party, but want to see the surroundings, you shouldn’t miss a day trip. For example, the islands of Isla Mujeres and Isla Blanca are ideal for snorkeling or the Inca ruins of Chichén Itzá.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – Peace of Mind Vacations

Punta Cana is located at the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic. Along with the Bavaró region, this region is also called the Cocos Beach (Costa del Coco) because the approximately 32 kilometers of sandy beach is surrounded by coconut trees. Along this stretch of coast are not only white beaches, but also the most all-inclusive hotel complexes in the Caribbean. Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic – On the edge of the national park

The name of the town of Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic means “silver port”. It is named after the mountain that Columbus called “Monte de Plata” because of the silver clouds. Today, however, it is referred to as Isabel de Torres, like the national park of the same name that surrounds it. The Teleferico cable car takes you to the top with magnificent sea and surrounding views. From here, hiking trails run through the tropical forest.
