Giving gifts is often almost more fun than receiving presents – this is also true for the advent calendar. Instead of opening a door yourself every day for 24 days, on December 1st you can set up an empty box and put in it a good quality durable food, a warm sock, good hygiene items or the like every day. At Christmas, the full box is taken to a charity that accepts donations in kind. Or you can give this box to your friends or acquaintances who don’t have much. A small effort but a great happiness for people in need of all kinds of help.
