Tough guys risking their lives on the streets of Los Angeles as part of an elite task force? You immediately feel your chest hairs grow. The fourth season can be found in the catalog of the streaming provider from today.
If this kind of action is too grounded for you, the fairytale action blockbuster might be for you “troll“ some. Here, Norse legends awaken from centuries of sleep and threaten modern civilization. When the alleged fairytale characters finally set sail for Oslo, the military felt compelled to intervene. The first trailers promise a thoroughly entertaining fantasy action spectacle.
A shovel on it even puts it on “sucker Punch“, in which the motto “Style over substance” is celebrated as loudly as almost no other film. “300” director Zack Snyder delivers fast-paced action sequences that seem straight out of a video game and barely leave you time to catch your breath.
Friday: the remake of a scandal classic
Today an old-school erotic movie starts on Netflix. “Lady Chatterley’s lover” is based on the novel of the same name by DH Lawrence, who published this ‘scandal novel’ in 1928, which caused a sensation at the time and was only available in an abridged version in many countries. “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” is now considered a classic of erotic literature, regularly appearing in the best fiction lists and has been made into films several times.
The Netflix adaptation stars Emma Corrin as Connie Reid, who is promised to Sir Clifford Chatterley (Matthew Duckett) but whose heart belongs to a rugged gamekeeper. Stylish costume film meets erotic drama – a welcome change in times of cheap erotic hits like “365 Days”.
Of “Always there for you“ An absolute Netflix hit series also starts its next season today. The lovable and wonderfully harmonious lead duo of Katherine Heigl (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and “Scrubs” star Sarah Chalke get to continue the story of Kate and Tully’s friendship for one more season – and that’s a good thing, after all, it ended as the first season with two (!) nasty cliffhangers.
And another melancholy new release at the end: In “sir“ is about the life’s work of Robert Downey, Sr., father of Marvel superstar Robert Downey Jr.. The filmmaker shaped counterculture cinema in the 1960s and 1970s with his critical comedies. In Chris Smith’s documentary, Robert Downey Jr. to rediscover his father and his life’s work.
