“Star Wars” from the creators of countless masterpieces? Video teaser brings excitement!

It’s a short video, only 15 seconds long, but it gets fans excited. The clip was posted on the official Studio Ghibli Twitter channel Consists only of the Lucasfilm and Studio Ghibli logos. It is therefore clear that there will be a collaboration between the two companies.

It’s easy to conclude that this collaboration is about “Star Wars” (and not about “Indiana Jones”, “Willow” or any other Lucasfilm brand). Finally, the official “Star Wars” Twitter account has now also shared the video, which should be confirmation. Animated projects are currently being created in the “Star Wars” saga – most notably the “Star Wars: Visions” series.

Their first season consisted of numerous anime stories from different studios. A second season has already been announced. The most likely solution is therefore: Ghibli is contributing an episode to the second season of “Star Wars: Visions”.

But of course fans hope for more. Maybe Ghibli is going to make a full-length Star Wars anime movie? After all, we know that “Star Wars” boss Kathleen Kennedy is a huge fan of anime, especially Ghibli, and is said to have helped make the films of the legendary Japanese forge accessible to a wider audience in the West years ago behind the scenes. . .

Not only there, many Ghibli films have long been considered masterpieces to be celebrated by fans – especially the work of co-founder Hayao Miyazaki. Movies like “Princess Mononoke”, “Spirited Away” or “My Neighbor Totoro” are undisputed classics these days.

At this point, we can only wait and see what really teases Ghibli with the short video. The anticipation of the project should already be huge among countless “Star Wars” and anime fans. And even if it’s just an episode of “Star Wars: Visions” at the end, we’re very happy to take it. But of course you can hope for much more…
