Kanye West apologizes – and creates even more excitement

That apology could only make things worse. Kanye West comments on his anti-Semitism scandal and makes a confused comparison.

Kanye West talks with his head and neck. After his anti-Semitic statements, he lost his partner Adidas a few days ago. The traditional German company ended its collaboration with the American rapper and fashion designer because of his crude statements – read more about it here.

Ye, as Kim Kardashian’s ex now only calls himself, then made his way to another US sports equipment manufacturer. But even at Skechers in Los Angeles, they wanted nothing to do with him – and outright kicked him out the door with a security escort. On Thursday, West then shared on Instagram that he had lost $2 billion in one day. A number of business partners no longer work with him: Balenciaga, Gap, JP Morgan. West’s artist agency also dropped him, as did his lawyers.

It is doubtful that his latest statements make anything better. On Friday evening, journalists confronted him with his dubious statements. West then tried to apologize. He recalls one of his past missteps: “When I questioned George Floyd’s death, it hurt my people,” he admits, before continuing in his seemingly very own logic: “I want to apologize Because God showed me what Adidas does, what the media does, I now know what it feels like to have a knee on my neck.”

Kanye West compares himself to George Floyd, who was killed by police brutality. West concludes his comparison by saying, “So thank God he humiliated me and let me know what it really feels like.”

The history between West and Floyd: The rapper had denied a violent death in the past. “They caught him with fentanyl. Watch the video, the man’s knee is not even in his neck,” West responded to the scandal scenes of May 25, 2020. And because of these statements, Floyd’s family is demanding $250 million in damages. West shouldn’t exactly contribute to reconciliation…
