Everything is ready for the second meeting of Ibero-American women called “Dissonancias”.
The event will be held until March 22 in the City of Arts.
Activities will be attended composers, singersspecialists and instrumentalists from Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela and the host country, Panama.
During the meeting, participants will be able to listen women recount their experiences leave indelible marks on every note, melody and word spoken in the sector.
The event will deal with topics such as Stage anxiety in young musicians, Psychology for musicians of the 21st century, Composition through Yamaha’s methodology, Women’s role in music projects for people with disabilities, Discussions on pedagogy and resilience through choral singing, among other interesting topics.
“This year we are focusing more on women Panama and the goal What we have is to share and put in common our storiesexperiences and professional trajectories,” says Laura Viñuela, musicologist and academic coordinator “Dissonances”.
Electra Castillo, director of Disonancias, stated that “we firmly believe in the importance of giving visibility and support women who are making significant contributions to the music landscape.”
“We overcome obstacles. We women are not asking for equality, we are asking for equality, that we all have the same opportunities,” added Castillo.
