
Netflix also secured the sixth season of “Black Mirror” as a major success – the series ranked in the top 10 of series charts in 92 countries and secured a spot in the global top 10 of English-language series for a full four-week series. So it’s no surprise that the anthology hit was renewed for a seventh season in December.
Now the streaming service has published details about the new season. How reported, The seventh season of “Black Mirror” will reach us on Netflix in 2025. It will also consist of six episodes and will also feature the continuation of a specific episode that was celebrated by fans and critics in season 4 – and even won an Emmy Award.
Black Mirror returns to the USS Callister
One of the six episodes will be based on the season 4 episode “USS Callister.”, starring Jesse Plemons (“Killers Of The Flower Moon”) as programmer Robert Daly, who created a multiplayer game based on the science fiction classic “Star Trek.” Using the DNA of his colleagues, he created digital clones of them and led them as captains on the starship USS Callister.
Newcomer Nanette Cole (Cristin Milioti) eventually convinced the other crew members to rebel against Daly. Netflix’s official announcement about the sequel episode reads: “Robert Daly is dead, but trouble is just beginning for the crew of the USS Callister.”
Black Mirror co-creator Charlie Brooker, who wrote the hit episode, returns as creator for season seven and will serve as executive producer alongside Annabel Jones and Jessica Rhoades. However, details about the casting and the content of the further episodes are not yet known.
