Kevin Williamsonwho wrote the scripts for the first two parts and ‘Scream 4’, will take the director’s chair for ‘Scream 7’. It will be the first directorial work for the maker of ‘Dawson’s Creek’ since the thriller comedy ‘Kill Mrs. Tingle!’ from 1999. The script was written by “Scream 5 & 6” author Guy Busick, based on a story idea by Busick and James Vanderbilt, who also co-wrote the two predecessors. It is still unclear when “Scream 7” will be released in theaters. Since there is a lot of movement in the horror movie right now, filming could start soon, so a 2025 release is very likely.
