The TCL C641 with 50 inches (125 cm) costs only 50 euros on Amazon, including a 50 euro voucher 369 euros and is therefore cheaper than ever before. The 55 inch version (139 cm)* is available for only 471.60 euros with a 69 euro coupon. The cheapest model is with 43 inches (108cm)* for only 329 euros including coupon.

TCL C641: This is what the budget TV can do with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision

The display of the TCL C641 consists of an LCD panel with quantum dots, simply called QLED. According to the manufacturer, the 4K television will achieve that decent screen brightness of about 450 nits. This allows you to watch films and series even in poor daylight without having to darken the living room considerably.

For less than 400 euros you get a 50-inch television with a very good display that is both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision supported as HDR formats. Other manufacturers such as Sony, LG and Samsung cannot keep up and only master one HDR format.

You do have to look carefully at the refresh rate: TCL specifies 120 Hz. But you only get this with the Game Accelerator, the game mode on the television. The native speed of the C641 is 60 Hz, which is more than sufficient for streaming. The TCL TV is only partially suitable for fast-paced games, even though it is sometimes advertised as a gaming TV. The QLED TV does have that HDMI 2.1 and ALLM on-board. Unfortunately there are no VRR and 120 Hz.

With Google TV and Dolby Atmos

A plus point, however, is the operating system: TCL is based on it Google TVwhich gives you access to various streaming apps and you don’t have to make any compromises when it comes to smart TV. Even voice control via the Google Assistant is possible. The C641 also supports Dolby Atmos signals and offers a frameless design for a chic exterior.

All in all, you almost get one with the TCL C641 unbeatably affordable QLED TV. If you do not want to spend large amounts on a television or are looking for a second television for the guest room or bedroom, then the TCL is a good and, above all, affordable choice.

Hisense U77HQ: the cheapest alternative with 120 Hz

If you want real 120Hz, that’s it Hisense U77HQ for currently 639.99 euros at MediaMarkt and Saturn* currently the cheapest alternative among 55-inch televisions.

The U77Q meets many of the criteria of a good 4K television and is good Brightness, moving image and viewing angle Way ahead in this price range. The more expensive models from LG, Samsung and Co. are of course technically one step ahead of the Hisense TV. Still, you get a very good and very affordable 4K television that also supports the two HDR formats HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
