“Should I write to him even though he has a girlfriend?”

I have a ‘Shit – why didn’t I react differently then’ problem. And I don’t know if I should risk changing this again. The following: A guy from a good friend’s circle of friends and I had a moment – 5 years ago at a festival – where there was a lot of spark. We got along really well the whole time, and at the end, when it was time to go home, we all stood in a circle, him next to me and took my hand. Somehow we got into different taxis and the moment was over…

He didn’t have a girlfriend at the time, but now he’s in a relationship with his former ex again and every time we see each other with the whole circle of friends, there’s just a certain chemistry between us. I think his girlfriend notices this, and I notice that she notices because she completely ignores me every time.

I don’t really care, I ask myself every time if I should write to him that I regret that moment, that it didn’t move forward, and that I just want him to know that he somehow has something special for me.

For me, it takes a lot for a guy to flash me. And he would really be one of them. If we had gotten into the same cab then, I suspect we would be together today.

Should I write to him even though I have a girlfriend? Or has the train just left? I think it partly has to be that way, but partly it is within your own control.
