Our colleague Patrick Schneider tested the SwitchBot K10+, which is only 24.8 cm in diameter and 9.2 cm flat, for four weeks for Gamestar in November 2023 four out of five stars assessed. The Price performance ratio was already great then, even though the mini vacuum cleaner still cost about 500 euros.

The SwitchBot impresses with one strong suction and cleaning performance, which is not necessarily expected at this size. The little helper manages 2,500 Pascal – and that at volume level of only 48 dB. On carpets, the SwitchBot automatically increases the suction power to the maximum.

With the good app you always have it at hand full control over your robot vacuum cleaneryou can check the battery level and lock certain areas on the map. This can be useful if you have small or flat obstacles that the SwitchBot can bump into. Because the robot does not have an advanced obstacle detection system. Instead, it relies on its infrared sensors and bumper.

Strong battery and large dust bag

The SwitchBot’s battery is also strong: 100 minutes the vacuum robot lasts. That’s enough for most apartments. After work, the relatively small dust container on the docking station is automatically emptied. The dust bag in the station is surprisingly large at four liters.

And the Erase function? It’s there, but it’s more of a fun gimmick than a real feature. Vacuuming and mopping at the same time is not possible. In addition, the robot does not recognize carpets in mopping mode. You must moisten the wipers yourself and attach them by hand. Moreover, the cleaning cloths are disposable, which certainly does not reduce your ecological footprint.

All in all this is what you get SwitchBot K10+* but one very good vacuum robot, who really gets into every corner and surprises with a strong performance. However, if you absolutely need a swiping feature, you’ll have to look elsewhere.

Dreame W10: The alternative with a real erase function
