‘Oppenheimer’ wins BAFTA for best film

Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ won the BAFTA British Film Award for Best Film this Sunday.

In addition, he took six more prizesbecoming the big winner of this edition of the gala tournament, with a total of 7 prizes won.

The three-hour film penetrates the mind creator of the atomic bombAmerican theoretical physicist of Jewish origin J.Robert Oppenheimer, posing moral dilemmas.

The film won at the 77th edition BAFTA with total seven awards for Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Best Picture, Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.).

The award for the best film was presented by the actor Michael J. Fox, who, due to Parkinson’s disease, from which he has been suffering for years, arrived on stage in a wheelchair and received a standing ovation.

BAFTA was collected by Nolan’s producer and wife, Emma Thomas, who admitted that “this is not at all” how she imagined it as she sat at the UCL (University City of London) Film Society “with Chris (her husband) who dreamed of making films for a living.”

He said of the director that Nolan is “inspiring, brilliant and sometimes drives you crazy and always right”.

“I’m incredibly grateful that he let me drive this a journeyhe added.

The film talks about the real risk of causation destruction of the planet with the goal of saving him was a strange paradox that Oppenheimer faced, and which Nolan tried to decipher from various angles with that film.
