Fiescheralp – Riederalp VS/BE
This hike looks like a real experience. The hiking trail stretches from Riederalp via Bettmeralp to Fiescheralp and offers magnificent views of the peaks of the Valais four thousanders.
Tip: The trail is approximately nine kilometers long and can be completed in approximately 3.5 hours with moderate fitness.

Panorama winter hiking trail Moosalpregion VS
There is no shortage of options in the Moosalp area and everyone gets their money’s worth. Whether you want to walk the five-hour panoramic trail or just one section. Reader Christian Lehner writes: “The Panorama Trail is the ultimate winter hike, taking you relatively flat from Törbel through the entire Moosalp region to Bürchen and from there to Unterbäch or Eischoll. “The panoramic view, bordered by the Valais and Bernese Alps, changes every hour.”

Lighthouse road Crans – Montana VS
Reader Mark Affolter writes: “The lighthouse trail in Crans-Montana is a truly beautiful evening stroll.” Lanterns show the way and invite you to a winter wonderland. It is often possible to come across art or photo installations along the way.
Tip: If you have a short time, this place is for you: Fenerli road can be completed in approximately 45 minutes.

Niederhorn–Waldegg–Beatenberg BE
On the Niederhorn you will also have a hard time choosing between four different possible hikes. Sled walking time can be further shortened. Unfortunately, this road is not suitable for baby strollers.
Tip: The trail, which is approximately seven and a half kilometers long, can be completed in just over two hours with moderate fitness.

Squirrel Road Arosa GR
The Squirrel Trail in Arosa was also mentioned several times. Squirrel Trail, especially preferred by families with young children, provides unforgettable moments for older children and adults in the holiday paradise of Arosa. The path is also recommended by reader Tatjana Marti: “Squirrels eat out of your hands and you can cross the path with a stroller or sled without any problems.” Reader Bruno Anliker is also very excited: “Squirrels are very social and there is also a quiz for young and old using a QR code. Sparenmoos-Zweisimmen
This hike offers beautiful views of the Simmental, Saanenland, western Bernese Oberland and the Vaud Alps. You can rent a sled from the mountain inn and go down to the center or Zweisimmen, depending on the weather conditions.
Tip: Combining the distance of 3 kilometers with the altitude of 300 meters, you can complete it in approximately two and a half hours with moderate fitness.

Laternliweg Schwagalp–Säntis SG/AI/AR
If Crans-Montana is too far for you but you still want to experience the illuminated snow trail, Laternliweg Schwägalp-Säntis is the place to be. Laternliweg is accessible until 19 March 2022, but only on Thursday, Friday or Saturday evenings. A small note: Sledding is prohibited here due to the risk of slipperiness.
Tip: This Laternliweg does not require any sporting achievements. This path, which is 2 kilometers long and only 42 meters long, is very easy to build.

A tour of the Schwarzsee lake in the canton of Fribourg is also popular. The picturesque mountain panorama is reflected in the sparkling mountain lake. Chäserrugg – Rosenboden SG
The Chäserrugg-Rosenboden-Chäserrugg hike is included in the top pick for good reason. This trail offers a well-maintained path offering views of 500 peaks in six different countries. GEO Magazine called the magnificent mountain panorama one of the most beautiful views in Switzerland.
Tip: Even if your fitness is low, you can enjoy this view and complete the approximately 3 kilometer long route in a little over an hour.

Betelberg Lenk BE
Reader Amedeo Tschopp’s tip: “A great route for families, including dogs. “The road is freshened every day.” The website lists different routes. Note: If you want to save yourself the trip, you can enjoy the mountain experience from your own seat thanks to 360° recordings that include background noise.
Tip: Older dogs are in safe hands here too – this trail has a 280-metre climb spread over five kilometres, so it’s easily doable with low fitness levels.
