In the finale of “Reacher,” Alan Ritchson was able to deliver it again. As ex-military police officer and justice fanatic Jack Reacher, he takes out all the bad guys – and main actor Alan Ritchson throws his entire massive body into it again. The star did many of the stunts himself – even though that may not always have been necessary.
“There was a stunt scene where I had to run through an entire window,” he says in an interview . He was asked in advance if he wanted to use a stuntman and of course he immediately declined: “No, man, I’ll do it!”

“It could have been anyone”
The stunt was quite a challenge: “I can’t tell you how much of your primal brain you have to overcome when you run at full speed towards a diamond. Everything in you says, ‘Don’t do that.’ I broke this thing and carried around little pieces of glass for days,” he recalled of performing the stunt.
But then in the last part of the episode he saw the result of his efforts and was a little annoyed at how much he had invested for so little return: “The film was shot from such a broad perspective that it could have been anyone. I was so disappointedbecause it was me and that was a very oppressive, frightening five seconds of the race.
“Reacher”: The third season is coming – but with what story
But that certainly doesn’t detract from the general enthusiasm for the series. There is already a third season of “Reacher,” which is currently being filmed and is highly anticipated. No details are yet known about which Lee Child book will be adapted into a film and who else will be in front of the camera besides Alan Ritchson.
Actor Alan Ritchson revealed that he wants to see the members of Reacher’s elite 110th unit again, which was interpreted as a statement that they will also be on board for the third season. This would mean that one of the Reacher books set during his time in the military could be adapted. “The Affair” aka “The Last Order” and “Night School” aka “The Investigator” would be good candidates here.
Are you going on a road trip?
However, we get the impression that Ritchson was talking more about wishes for future seasons – and not about the third season, which is already in the works. Furthermore, author Lee Child has suggested as much in the past that Reacher is more alone in the third season. This would also ensure that the new season is slightly more different from the previous one.
In our opinion, the second Reacher novel ‘Die Trying’, aka ‘Extradited’, would be suitable here. An Instagram post from Ritchson also fits in here:

With the posting, Ritchson revealed that in-car scenes are filmed with a green screen on a soundstage – an indication that many sequences were shot in a moving car with varying locations in the background.
This fits with the story of “Die Trying”. Here, Reacher helps a woman with a leg injury leave a dry cleaners when armed men force the two into a car. A journey through the US begins.
“Delivered” on Amazon Prime Video*
For an adaptation of this novel, you would only shoot select location shots, but the majority would be shot in the studio on a soundstage, as it would be too time-consuming to actually travel across the US in a car and film everything behind closed doors. streets. If a lot of it really happens in a remote setting in a studio complex, that would also explain why no names of other actors involved have been leaked so far.
It’s just a guess on our part, but if we had to guess which novel would be adapted for the third season of “Reacher,” we’d settle for “Die Trying,” aka “Extranished.” But of course many other books from the 28 are also possible. We don’t know how many car scenes were actually shot in the studio.
The entire first two seasons of “Reacher“ can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. It is not yet known when the third season will be released.
