Delayed sequels are not uncommon in Hollywood. Still, it was a bit surprising that the cult comedies “Bill & Ted’s Crazy Journey Through Time” (1989) and “Bill & Ted’s Crazy Journey into the Future” (1991) still had sequels almost 30 years after the latter film was released. Fans were especially happy with the return of Keanu Reeves, who, despite his worldwide fame through the films ‘Matrix’ and ‘John Wick’, did not shy away from appearing in front of the cameras again as the eternally hungover Ted. But unfortunately, “Bill & Ted Save the Universe” received little attention in theaters due to the spreading coronavirus pandemic – despite a solid rating.
Moreover, the series starring ‘John Wick’ shooting boy Keanu Reeves has a fairly small fan base, at least in this country – wrongly so, because the stupid, over-the-top comedies should be a must see for any fan of the action . star Reeves. This can therefore show itself from a completely different side. But maybe fans will get another chance to experience another “Bill & Ted” movie in theaters.

At a performance in the Bill actor Alex Winter has now given fans a legitimate reason to hope that another reunion can happen with the planned but extremely likable teens in the long run:
“We are currently working on a fourth movie idea that we all like. The boys will write, we’ll see what comes of it. […] We need time to get these things together and we don’t want to do them if they aren’t great.
