“The possibilities are endless”: Margot Robbie talks about her future as Harley Quinn

With “Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom” the old DCEU timeline has come to an end. Now James Gunn and Peter Safran are busy directing the fate of the new DC Universe, which will hit theaters on July 10, 2025 with “Superman: Legacy.” Until then, there will still be some time, which should of course also be used to answer any unanswered questions.

Although we are dealing with a new DCU, some actors are returning to their familiar roles. Includes Viola Davis as Amanda Waller and John Cena as Peacemaker. And what is the future of Margot Robbie, who has already thrilled fans three times as Harley Quinn? In a conversation with The “Barbie” star has now said a few words about this:

Is there a future for Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn?

“I always wanted Harley to be a character that would be passed on to other actresses to play because there are so many iconic male characters. […] Harley is so much fun and can go in so many different directions. You put her in someone else’s hands and ask yourself, “What are they going to do with her?” The possibilities are endless.

It remains to be seen if Margot Robbie will return as Harley Quinn alongside James Gunn and Peter Safran or if a new actress will be used. Any successors would certainly have Robbie’s blessing. It’s a pretty safe bet that we’ll continue to see the legendary character on the big screen in the DCU in the future, possibly even in the ‘Batman’ movie that will follow ‘The Brave And The Bold’ from ‘The Flash’ creator Andy Schametti directing.
