In the final tenth season of ‘Friends’, Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox) leave the crazy hustle and bustle of metropolitan New York and move to the outskirts of the city. But it’s not just a house they move into. It’s the house from the cult Christmas movie “Kevin home alone“ (even though this one is in Chicago).
A The user noticed this over Christmas and shared his observations in a post. In the video he explains how you can see that it is the same house:

A week later there is now an official confirmation. Daren Janes worked as art director on ‘Friends’ and was responsible for building and designing sets. In the comments on the Instagram post above He now explained why you see the ‘Kevin’ cult house in the popular sitcom.
“You have me!”
“That’s expensive. You caught me,” he begins his statement and then explains: “The house used was a set”, so it wasn’t actually filmed in the house used for ‘Kevin’. But because the figures enter the house through the front door and you can also look outside through windows, a background image was needed for the outdoor landscape.
“We used wallpaper from a company called Pacific Studio that was made for Home Alone. Because it looked best through the door and window.”
With a “Great eye, my friend!!!” James concludes his confirmation. Millions of fans of the cult sitcom “Friends” will likely no longer be able to watch the final episodes without thinking about “Home Alone” at the same time.
