The student parliament at Humboldt University in Berlin has rejected a student group’s request to set up glory holes in a university building. The Berliner Zeitung reports this. About two-thirds of the elected students in the HU Berlin student parliament voted against the proposal. Gloryhole is the name for a hole in the wall for anonymous sex.
The official application was submitted by the group The Autonomous Alcoholics. The student group is an offshoot of the satirical party The Party of European Parliamentarian Martin Sonneborn. The students have requested at least three glory holes in a seminary building at Dorotheenstrasse 24.
“The height must be adjustable, there must be handles on the wall that you can hold on to,” the application said, according to the Berliner Zeitung. “Condoms, licking cloths, lubricants and disinfectants and wipes” must also be available. It is unclear how serious the request really was. However, if the majority of the student parliament had voted for it, the institution would have actually taken place.
The student group’s application was preceded by a case at the University of Augsburg at the end of October. Some students requested glory holes in the lecture hall center to relieve stress.
