Although “Via mala” means “bad road” in Roman language, the Viamala Gorge is one of the most impressive gorges in Switzerland. The rocks, whose height reaches 300 meters, are located between Suchis GR and Andeer GR. The pass was visited by many writers, including Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) and Theodor Fontane (1819-1898). Today, there is a visitor centre, exciting trails and a viewing platform at the heart of this natural wonder.

On your way to the source, you are accompanied by a water vortex of approximately 36.5 degrees, through which approximately 8000 liters of water flows per minute.
