“Creative economy, tangible and intangible heritage and cultural tourism in the historical core” is the name of the seminar attended by artisans, chefs, designers, artists, tour guides and cultural managers.
There were 60 cultural entrepreneurs who trained for cultural tourism, creative economy and heritage in the historical core.
Key information was also shared to enhance the cultural content of the proposal. Of the 60 participants, 70% are women.
These trainings will include other specialized workshops on Creative economy and cultural tourism.
He invited the participants Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), through the Old Town Office (OCA).
This training was supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and was held at the Canal Museum.
“This program aims to strengthen and expand concepts in the creative economy, create synergies between organizations, develop promotional and marketing tools so that artisans and entrepreneurs can evaluate their projects and offer unique and attractive experiences in the field of cultural tourism,” said Yessenia Sánchez, director of the Old Town office.
He added that the seminar is one of the activities of the first Centro Vivo Forum, which will end with a gathering of academic cooperation scheduled for Monday, October 30, at the Museum of Interoceanic Channels.
This activity is carried out in honor World Cities Day, and has the motto “Heritage, creativity and sustainable urban development: better historical center, better life”.

This training is part of the institutional strengthening of the OCA, which strives to expand the presence of MiCulture in the historical core, therefore the content responded to the needs previously identified by the participants, whose interests were: learning and training, professional networks and collaboration, developing their business, marketing and of tourism.
