The MyMetaStories film festival, founded by Unifrance, an organization for the international promotion of French cinema and audiovisual production, offers an exceptional program focused on European cinema. There are a total of 20 films to discover in various genres and styles (7 feature films and 13 short films) from up-and-coming directors.

From October 6 to 29, 2023, film lovers around the world can watch these 20 productions online with subtitles in six languages ​​(French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian). This is possible on the one hand via the official website MyMetaStories.eu and partner VOD platforms such as Sooner and Amazon Prime Video.

In addition, MyMetaStories also offers the unique opportunity to experience an important part of the festival program in a slightly different location, namely in a video game!

MyMetaStories brings together the worlds of film and video games in an unusual way at the same festival, offering Internet users worldwide the opportunity to watch together the short films selected for the program during one of the extraordinary sessions in the video game hit “Minecraft®”.

The popular square online universe is still a true video game phenomenon and allows players to let their imaginations run wild in a huge sandbox where the craziest constructions and constructions are possible. With more than 170 million players worldwide, “Minecraft®” has established itself as a true monument to the medium since its launch in 2011.

The temporary Unifrance “Minecraft®” server, specially created for the MyMetaStories festival, will open its doors from October 13 to 16. It includes 13 digital cinemas where players and viewers can discover the festival’s short films together. The screenings will be followed by workshops led by film industry professionals, taking advantage of the peculiarities of the cube-shaped and entertaining environment of “Minecraft®”.

In addition, in addition to the screenings, players will also have the opportunity to participate in a special quest where they can learn more about the film industry and play mini-games inspired by the selected short films. This is a very special way to immerse yourself in the world of audiovisual production within the fun environment of “Minecraft®”.
