Even Stephen King is celebrating: Netflix confirms the second season of a hit series – now there is a first announcement teaser

In the Netflix series ‘Kleo’, ‘Fack Ju Göhte’ star Jella Haase embarked on a campaign of revenge as an ex-GDR spy. The production from Germany even attracted international attention. Even horror pope Stephen King gave his followers the first season in one on X (formerly Twitter). Tweet recommended it, describing it as a “breath of fresh air” in the serial landscape.

Since the end of September it has been clear that there will be a second season of the humorous Stasi series Now a first teaser has been released, in which Jella Haase appears as Kleo and Dimitrij Schaad while Sven hunts through the woods in his underwearbefore breaking the fourth wall and revealing to the audience on the film set that filming for the second season of “Kleo” is almost complete.

On behalf of a secret Stasi commando, GDR spy Kleo eliminates a businessman in the West Berlin club Big Eden. The next day she expects no rewards on home soil; instead, the officer is taken to jail for petty reasons. Here she not only has to endure brutal torture, but is also so badly injured that she loses her unborn child.

After the wall falls, Kleo is released and seeks revenge. She is looking for those to whom she owes her involuntary stay in prison. She soon realizes that the intrigue against her is much greater than she could have imagined. Kleo ends up in a dark web of lies, power and political intrigue.

Kleo’s campaign of revenge against her tormentors continues in the second season. It remains to be seen how the chase scene in the forest comes about, in which Kleo, with his gun drawn, chases the scantily clad police officer Sven, with whom she even had a wild night in one episode.

There is no exact start date yet for the second season of the thriller series ‘Kleo’. In the announcement teaser, Dimitrij Schaad says that we will see it on Netflix soon. However, no one should expect streaming to start before 2024.
