American actress Jessica Chastain will chair the jury of the 20th edition of the Marrakesh International Film Festival.
This festival will be held in this Moroccan city November 24 to December 2.
Your jury will award Gold star one of the fourteen feature films in the international competition, dedicated to the discoveries of filmmakers from all over the world, reported organization in a statement.
Chastain, who previously participated in this film event in 2011, won the Oscar for Best Actress in 2022 for her performance in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye.”
Chastain has also taken on leading roles with directors such as Terrence Malick, Kathryn Bigelow, Christopher Nolan and Ridley Scott.
He founded in 2016 Movies about freckles, the New York-based film and television production company, which will soon release “Memory,” from Mexican Michel Franco, produced by Freckle Films and starring Peter Saarsgaard.
Most recently, Chastain returned to Broadway in a revival of Ibsen’s classic play “Doll’s House”which earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress.
The 2023 edition of the Marrakesh Festival will have one of its guest stars: Martin Scorsese, which will sponsor its training aspect, Atlas Workshops, dedicated to developing the talent of emerging African and Arab directors.
