As several industry magazines are unanimously reporting, Harrison Ford will soon be involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking on the role of General Ross. This was originally mimicked by the late William Hurt (who first appeared in 2008 in “The Incredible Hulk”). Ford thus extends its impressive vita with another well-known franchise: in addition to “Indiana Jones”, “Blade Runner” and “Star Wars”, the now 80-year-old screen icon will soon also be on the road in the service of Marvel.
Harrison Ford will make his debut as General Ross in Captain America 4: New World Order, starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson. Cloverfield Paradox creator Julius Onah directs. Captain America 4 is set after the events of the Marvel series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, which launched on Disney+ last year. Sam Wilson is officially the successor to Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Captain America 4 is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2024.

As if that weren’t enough, Harrison Ford will also appear in the Thunderbolts movie, which is basically Marvel’s answer to DC’s The Suicide Squad, as first reported by The Hot Mic With Jeff Sneider and John Rocha podcast. General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross is the leader and founder of the Suicide Squad, credited to the likes of Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), and John Walker aka US Agent (Wyatt Russell) counting.
Thunderbolts will hit theaters just a few months after Captain America 4, which is currently slated for July 24, 2024. The screenplay comes from “Black Widow” author Eric Pearson, while Avengers mastermind Kevin Feige acts as producer. The Marvel blockbuster is directed by Jake Schreier (“Marks of Margo”).
