Not Christopher Nolan: this director should make the next James Bond film

The scooper, who has had reliable information in the past reports now, that according to his sources Matthew Vaughn would be the top candidate for those responsible in the search for a new 007 director. The name of the Brit, known for films such as ‘The Star Wanderer’, ‘Kick-Ass’ and the ‘Kingsman’ series, has already circulated in this context in the past.

Vaughn has said in the past that he wanted the job but didn’t think Bond executives would consider him. He probably fears that his often exaggerated, brash style could turn them off. According to current plans, his action thriller ‘Argylle’, which will be released in cinemas on February 1, 2024, would be very heavily influenced by 007.

“The Witcher” star Henry Cavill plays a successful bestselling author of spy novels who eventually realizes that he was once an excellent spy who has lost his memories. Even if it were said that those responsible for Bond would be willing to give the next director a little more freedom, it is highly unlikely that they would withdraw so completely. Matthew Vaughn seems like a more realistic option than Christopher Nolan.

It is not yet known when another Bond film will be released – especially since the strikes in Hollywood are currently complicating possible preparations.
