BOY KILLS WORLD is unlike anything I’ve ever seen! This is the closest thing to a video game movie! A mix of Deadpool, Kill Bill and John Wick that goes hard! The wildest action movie I’ve seen in a long time! Jessica Rothe and Bill Skarsgärd are fantastic! #TIFF23 pic.twitter.com/xGKDd9sVmU

But before we look at some in-depth reviews, what is “Boy Kills World” actually about?
“Boy Kills World”: a spectacle that wallows in chaos
The story takes place in a dystopian future and focuses on the mute and deaf boy (Bill Skarsgård from “John Wick 4”). Over many years, a mysterious shaman (Yayan Ruhian from the films “The Raid”) transformed him into the ultimate killing machine. Now he wants revenge for the death of his parents and sets his sights on the ruthless tyrant Hilda Van Der Koy (Famke Janssen). Every year they kill part of the population during a TV event. To defeat them, Boy teams up with a few resistance fighters and must battle Van Der Koy’s numerous assassins and henchmen.
The first reviews promise bloody action. Even if at Criticism has been made that the ‘shaky cam’ and quick cuts sometimes leave you wondering what’s going on. Despite the result is “a vibrant spectacle that wallows in its cross-genre chaos.”

Bee is now gone a “high-octane action pyro that is sure to satisfy genre fans’ fierce thirst for blood,” lyrical. Bee one comes to the conclusion: “An ultra-brutal bang!”
Unfortunately it is not yet known when “Boy kills the world“also comes to Germany. After the first festival screening, we are optimistic that news will come soon. Especially when a German director with an international cast includes prominent names such as Jessica Rothe (“Happy Deathday”), action specialist Andrew Koji (“Bullet Train”), ex-football star Isaiah Mustafa (“ES: Chapter 2”), Michelle Dockery (“ Downton Abbey”), Brett Gelman (“Stranger Things”) and Sharlto Copley (“District 9”) deliver genre fireworks, it would be a shame if it didn’t make it to the big screen in this country.
