Many scientists have addressed this phenomenon: Michael Roy of the University of California at San Diego was one of the first psychologists to want to check the thesis about the similarity between dogs and their owners. In one experiment, he asked passersby to pair the dogs of strangers with their owners. Most have succeeded.
