That’s the name of the ‘Fast & Furious’ movie starring Dwayne Johnson

Arguably the biggest reveal in Fast X, it was announced mid-credits that Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) would be returning to the Fast & Furious franchise. After years of public animosity between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, and Johnson vowed never to appear on the “F&F” series again, the surprise effect was of course all the greater.

We now know that Dwayne Johnson won’t be in Fast 11 (it’s already been filmed) but will get his own movie pitting him against supervillain Reyes (Jason Momoa). It’s quite tricky considering that Fast 11 will hit theaters in Germany on April 3, 2025, and Dwayne Johnson’s fight against Reyes is unlikely to be over before 2024.

The premium data service that regularly provides reliable updates on film and television productions, has now taken on the “Fast” series and has apparently figured out what Dwayne Johnson’s solo film should be called: “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Reyes”. After “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” that would be a logical step. It remains interesting when the film will hit theaters and how that will affect the big, two-part finale.

Following Dwayne Johnson’s recent global box office splurge with DC blockbuster Black Adam, the return of Fast & Furious seems like a smart (and perhaps even necessary) move to end the flop. Not only should the film be a real hit, Vin Diesel has also proven to be able to jump over his own shadow and brought back one of the absolute highlights in the series with Johnson.
