Interest in the Netflix series “Dahmer – Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer” continues. On the contrary: the true crime hit has been running on the streaming service for three weeks now and is still attracting an increasingly large audience. The serial killer flicked an additional 205.33 million hours across screens worldwide, bringing the total viewing time to 701.37 million hours.
For this week, ‘Dahmer’ is number one in the Netflix top 10 English-language series worldwide, leaving behind many previous successes. The second season of “Bridgerton” (with 656.26 million hours in 28 days) has already caught up with the killer played by Evan Peters (“Mare Of Easttown”). Hits like Ozark Season 4, Dead Girls Don’t Lie Season 2, and Lucifer Season 5 are also overshadowed by Dahmer.
Will ‘Dahmer’ also catch up with the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’, the most successful English-language Netflix series with 1.35 billion viewing hours in 28 days? Very unlikely. While Jeffrey Dahmer is actually accumulating extra Netflix hours – albeit in a different format…

With “Jeffrey Dahmer: Self-Portrait of a Serial Killer”, the streaming service also offers a documentary about the horrific murders in the US in the 80s and 90s. In the Netflix top 10, the documentary reached second place in its first week with 31.4 million hours viewed.
In the documentary, viewers get to know Dahmer even better – at least as he portrays himself. In interviews he talks about himself, his life, the murders and his motives. In addition, the work of the police is examined more closely, which raises a number of questions, especially from a contemporary perspective.
