Ironman 70.3 from Panama, it’s time to compete

The best Panamanians were: Victor Ortíz Jr. who came in fourth with a time of 4:22:27; Fernando Alfaro and Nestor Giron.

While the French Lea Zoe Riccoboni won the women’s competition with a time of 4:33:19, the second place went to the Panamanian Williana Rojas, and the third to the Venezuelan Daniela Araujo. This year, Rojas is competing again, as are Carmen Villarreal and Katherine Fernández.

Program HOMBRE DE HIERRO TriClub works to empower and support triathletes by providing friendly competition, exclusive benefits and exposure to registered clubs.

These events include eight triathlons, around the world, at middle distances IRONMAN 70.3 and two full distance triathlons HOMBRE DE HIERRO. Its primary purpose is to encourage friendship and healthy competition in the triathlon community.

Last year Claudia Álvarez, Lysa Aued, Gabriella Baccarani, Ana Elisa Castillo, Eucarys Pacheco, Williana Rojas and Brenda Young qualified for the 70.3 Ironman World Championship in St. George, Utah State, while the men will compete in the women’s division: Alfredo Barrera, Daniel Brostella, Emmanuel Carballeda, Sergio Cedeño, Ricardo Cupas, Nestor Girón, Cesar Kiamco, Sergio Lacruz, Ronan Pavoni, Juan José Pérez, Ernesto Fernández, Guillermo Samudio and Sebastían Sánchez, who trains in Panama but will run under the flag of his country Argentina.
