Tax payment extended due to problems in the e-Tax 2.0 platform

The General Directorate of Revenue (DGI) has extended the deadline for submitting tax returns and payments and thus fulfilling their tax obligations until next Wednesday, March 20.

This extension was established by Executive Decree no. 14, which was approved by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and which was published in the Official Gazette.

ANDThe original deadline expired on March 15, 2024.

According to the document, reports due by March 31, 2024 will retain their original deadline.

In a press release, the DGI reported that this measure is based on legal provisions such as number 5 of Article 184 of the Political Constitution of the Republic of Panama. and Article 78 of the Tax Procedure Law of the Republic of Panama.

Publio De Gracia Tejada, General Director of Revenue, asked taxpayers to take advantage of this extension if they did not have enough time to fulfill their tax obligations.
